Transform Your Tango — From Social Dancing to Stage‑Ready Confidence

Our mission is to elevate the level of tango performers in Los Angeles by forging strong artistic identities through the study and exploration of tango in its many forms.

We are committed to excellence, discipline, and intentional training, while never losing sight of the human journey behind each dancer. We believe it is never too late to chase your dreams, redefine your path, or step into a new version of yourself.

Tango Breakthrough is a safe and demanding space—a place for dancers who want to move with clarity, create with purpose, and discover new horizons in their tango journey.

Each week, we develop new sequences designed to strengthen technique, deepen musical understanding, and be immediately usable on the social dance floor or refined into choreography.

Our classes are rich in information and adaptable to every level. Carlos and Mayte consistently challenge advanced dancers while offering individual guidance to each student—ensuring that everyone is seen, supported, and pushed to grow.

NEW 12 WEEK SERIES!

Starting January 7th.

OPTION A — ONCE A WEEK:
”Technique, Sequences & Musicality Lab”

Option A is a high-level tango training class dedicated to technical development, musical understanding, and intelligent movement design.

This class is drill-based and detail-oriented, using carefully selected tango sequences and figures to train:

  • balance, posture, and axis control

  • dissociation and coordination

  • clarity of lead & follow

  • musical timing, phrasing, and accents

The sequences we work on are not random—they are functional material that later becomes part of our choreographic work. This means you’re not just learning steps; you’re training tango with purpose.

The class welcomes Intermediate and Advanced dancers who are serious about improving the quality of their movement and their understanding of tango mechanics.

🔹 No performance required.
You can join purely for technical growth, musical refinement, and deeper understanding of tango.

🔹 Mandatory for Option B team members.
Students enrolled in Option B (2 classes per week: Wednesday & Sunday) must attend this class as part of their training foundation to ensure the level desired.
